[Lounge Review] Qatar Premium Lounge Singapore
Excellent service, beautiful interiors, and quality F&B make Qatar Premium Lounge Singapore not only the best Oneworld lounge in Singapore, but also the best business class lounge in Singapore
TRAVELLOUNGE REVIEW
I visited the Qatar Premium lounge when departing on QR945; the last flight (or the first flight, depending on how you see it) departing for Doha from Singapore. Changi Airport Terminal 1 is home to several Oneworld Lounges, with Qatar Premium Lounge being the smallest among them. However, the lack of space does not hinder the lounge's ability to deliver an excellent experience for visitors.
The Lounge Setup
The lounge setup is quite simple. Once you are past the reception, you will see a small business center on your left. You will also find a large television, a fridge containing various drinks with a variety of chairs.

You will find some private pods on the right, suitable for getting some rest away from the eyes of other visitors.

Once you are past this flanking corridor, you will find the bar, and dining area. The chandelier above enhances the visuals of the bar; a white marble countertop, decorated by hexagoal tiles, surrounded by bar chairs.

Dining
The lounge offers ala carte dining, with menus available online. If you are in a rush, there's a buffet serving mostly cold cuts, salad and bread that may satisfy your hunger.

I had no interest in the buffet, and sat down at a dining table, and was immediately served a welcome drink. I placed my order with one of the staff after a quick look at the menu. I believe the lounge rotates their menu offering, so if you are a regular visitor to the lounge, there will always be new items for you to try.

I ordered the chili king prawns, salmon and chocolate fondant. I'm very aware that this is a lounge review, not a restaurant review, but the food was excellent. Ingredients are fresh, and the chef has nailed the cook on the seafood items I ordered. The chili king prawns, and salmon were well-cooked; they were not dry, and the salmon's skin had a nice crispiness to it.
Service at the lounge was generally excellent. I had to wait quite awhile for my dessert, as the lounge filled up, and the kitchen became busy. However, the staff kept checking in on me, and were proactive about hurrying the kitchen for the dessert.
Shower Rooms
There aren't too many amenities within the Qatar Premium Lounge, but it does come equipped with showers.

The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were by Diptyque. I took a shower, and the water pressure was good. I also like that the toothpaste was from Colgate, instead of some imitation brands.
Conclusion
In contrast to my last lounge review, the dining experience was a highlight at the Qatar Premium Lounge Singapore. I would argue that you should dine here before your flight, as it would be difficult for reheated airplane food (even food served in business class) to beat the food served in this lounge.
The lounge is also gorgeous, and makes good use of the limited space, with the generally excellent service being the cherry on top of the cake.
If you do have access to the Qatar Premium Lounge Singapore, be sure to visit it.
